APCCSID 2021

The Asia Pacific Research Association on Curriculum Studies Inc. (APRACSI) collaborated with SEGi University in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to organize the 2021 Asia Pacific Conference on Curriculum Studies and Instructional Designing (APCCSID) from October 1-3, 2021. This event marked another organizational milestone as it embraced a hybrid format for the first time, combining limited onsite participation in Malaysia with a broader online audience from across the Asia Pacific region. Themed “Curriculum and Instructional Design for Sustainable Development,” the conference aimed to explore the roles and impact of curriculum studies in achieving sustainable development goals while fostering collaboration across the region. Ms. Stefania Giannini, UNESCO Assistant Director General for Education, graced the opening ceremony. Distinguished keynote speakers included Mr. Yao Ydo from UNESCO International Bureau of Education, Dr. Zongyi Deng from University College London, Dr. Murray Print from the University of Sydney, and Datuk Dr. Habibah Abdul Rahim from the Ministry of Education, Malaysia. The conference featured engaging plenary speeches by curriculum experts, alongside parallel paper presentations and a poster presentation competition, adding depth and diversity to the scholarly discourse.
